The journey of packaging from container to waste is long and complex. At some point along the way, it will inevitably end up in a bin.
But not all recycling bins are created equal. To be effective tools for proper waste management, they must meet specific criteria.
Our bins are built on four key pillars:
• Compliance with Minimum Environmental Criteria
• Waste digitalization
• Ergonomics
• Accessibility
To illustrate these pillars in a tangible way, we’ll take a closer look at the UrbaPLUS container line—an innovative and functional solution for household waste sorting, in use since 2011.
Materials & Sustainability
UrbaPLUS is made from certified recycled polypropylene (“Second Life Plastic”) sourced from separate waste collection. It supports a circular economy and helps public bodies meet their green procurement goals in full compliance with Minimum Environmental Criteria.
Hygiene & Easy Cleaning
Its smooth interior surface and optimized base design make cleaning simple and efficient, preventing the buildup of odors and mold.
Digitalization
UrbaPLUS can be equipped with a UHF tag, allowing waste to be transformed from “physical” to “digital.” This enables accurate tracking and reporting of waste for pay-as-you-throw systems and other tariff-related processes.
Accessibility
The UrbaPLUS line is available with Braille markings, ensuring usability for visually impaired or blind individuals.
Ease of Use
The body shape and double-flap lid allow stable stacking, optimizing available space. A front hatch simplifies waste disposal even when bins are stacked.
Ergonomics
UrbaPLUS is ergonomically certified, aligning with the very definition of ergonomics: user-centered, intuitive, safe, and satisfying to use.
Customization
UrbaPLUS offers various customization options, including hot stamping and In-Mould Labeling (IML).
In Summary:
UrbaPLUS by Sartori Ambiente is a complete and versatile solution for separate waste collection—combining sustainability, functionality, and innovative design.
